Good weather at last.

Well we finally had a nice day for flying. The Pacific Pilot group split up because of time restraints and Easter dinners, we went different placesallowing us to be back in time for dinner. David Bianchi went to Rowena, The Zimtoors to Courtney and Greg Stump and James to Powell River. Great flight along the Sunshine Coast with just a few small bumps.Lunch at Julies cafe was good too.

Chilliwack

Well, we had some of the Pacific Pilots and a couple of BCGA guys meet for Pie at Chilliwack. A social gathering and a small show of support for the coffee shop. Word was out that we were coming and a table was reserved for us. Good flying weather, cold but smooth air.

Chilliwack Coffee Shop.

You all know about the ongoing issues with the coffee shop at Chilliwack Airport. It looks like the place may be forced to close soon. We are planning a fly-in for lunch on Saturday 28th to show support.. It would be nice to see you there.

I remember 20 years ago when I was a raw student studying for my Ultralight permit, flying to Chilliwack and buying my instructor pie for lunch was a big deal. I for one will be sorry to see this iconic place close. I will be there and hope to see some of you.

Sad news

For those of you that do not already know, I am sad to report that our friend and flying buddy Len Lambert has passed away. Most people know that Len has been fighting cancer for some time, he kept up the fight to the end and always had a smile.
We are going to miss Len's sense of humor and great flying skills. R.I.P Len.
