The Renegade is no longer Canadian

In December Renegade Aircraft, Inc. of Hampden, Maine, formally
agreed to acquire the Renegade line of aircraft from Murphy Aircraft,
Ltd. of Chilliwack, BC. We plan to close on the deal on or about the
15th of February and Jeremy Williams of Renegade Aircraft, Inc. will
continue production of the Renegade and offering full support and
parts for all existing builders and owners of flying Renegade
aircraft.

As part of the purchase we have four biplane quick-build kits that we
will prepare for sale and will sell at an introductory base kit
discount of $19,999 usd. If you or someone you know is interested in
having one of these kits, please let me know immediately. There is
no financial obligation to be placed on the list for the kits.

We'll subsequently contact you to confirm the order and place a
refundable deposit of $1,000 usd on the kit. The kit will ship
within 30-60 days thereafter, with payment due upon shipment.

The Renegade biplane is a superb product. We would very much like to
have you as part of the Renegade family as we continue the tradition
of excellence established by Murphy Aircraft.

Oldest Boeing Airliner In Flying Condition
This is as it should be - passengers in a closed cabin, pilot in open cockpit so he will stay awake. The airplane is inSpokane, WA and is the oldest flying Boeing in the World.
After 8 years of repair and rebuilding and 8,000 hours of toil the Boeing 40C rolled out last winter as a finished airplane. They had to wait a few weeks for the snow to melt to fly this baby. They received their Standard Airworthiness Certificate from the FAA and completed the engine pre-oil and fuel flow tests for the first of the taxi tests.
Facts for the Boeing 40 project:
221½ gallons of dope/reducer and 120 yards of 102 ceconite fabric. 12 gallons of poly urethane paint for the sheet metal. The wings have 33,000 individual parts in them. The airplane weighs 4080 lbs empty, has a gross weight of 6075 lbs. It is 34 ft long and 13 feet tall with a wing span of 44½ feet.
Wing loading is 10 lbs per sq ft and power loading is 10 pounds per HP. It should cruise at 115 mph using 28 GPH, and 32 GPH at 120 mph. It carries 120 gallons of fuel in three tanks.
350 - 2 inch brushes were used to apply 6 gallons of West Systems epoxy, and 181 rolls of paper towels for cleanup.
There were a total of 62 volunteers who worked on the project to some degree. 21 of the volunteers did a significant amount of work, and 9 of the volunteers worked continuously during the 8 year project.

Nootka Island Cat

Here is a photo of a cougar killed on Nootka Island, British Columbia.
The guy who shot it is 6 foot tall and weighs about 220 lbs. He was standing next to Pat's B & B. He saw it pass him upwind and then down wind. When the cat passed him again he knew that it was hunting him, so - boom.
After viewing this, do you still feel safe in the woods?

We are now in the 2nd Year of our blog ( happy 2009 to all readers) use of the blog has been OK but we need more author's to put up postings, it seems like mostly the same guy,s put up the postings . therefore I suggest all authors put up there favorite flying picture(s) as You noticed I have replaced the background pic behind the blog header . but can again replace it with a nicer one You send in.
