Your input please.

Dear All.

I would like ALL pilots reading this blog, to come visit DairyAir!

Perhaps for a BBQ or a corn roast. or even an over-night under the wing camp-out.
Stopping in for coffee is OK too.

How can I make this happen?
All (reasonable) suggestions will be carefully considered.

Thanks for your consideration.

edited to add.....Yay I got the image to load.

He Jack good idea got new brakes on the plane so if your fence is marked properly i might fly in this week when the winds are not blowing from the north or howling from the west i guess early in the morning or later in the evening/afternoon would be the best time, please let us know.

The fence at the end of the short runway is marked.
I advise very strongly against a flat approach.
Please use the same technique that you might use when landing at CSK8 over the wires.

Both runways are perfectly usable.

If the wind is blowing from the W or S-W, The long runway is much preferred.

Please call ahead where possible.
If I know that planes are on the way, I can stand-by on 123.5.
And I can have the coffee ready.

It would be nice to see you appear on the horizon, fearlessly leading a full flock of fellow flyers!

Hi, I'm a private pilot with Pacific Flying Club at Boundary Bay. I'm one of the "all pilots" reading the blog. But I've never been closer to King George Airpark than 1500' above, and I don't know what or where "DairyAir" is. (Though it's a clever name!)

So one way to encourage all pilots to come, is to assume we don't know all about you. Tell us about DairyAir. Tell us where you are located. Tell us how to get there by road (and by air, if appropriate). Point us to your website, in case we want to know more. Give us your phone number and email address.

I'd be delighted to come visit.

You also might want to spread word to the Vancouver Aviation & Pilots Meetup Group and the Pacific Flying Club GA Group. I can help you with both.

Cheers, and thanks for the invitation!

Thanks for responding.
Here is a link to an image of DairyAir.
The image also contains runway, and other information.

I tried to place the image in my original post. My blog-Fu is weak.

Only pilots with experience flying into short grass strips should attempt a landing here.
And then only when flying a suitably capable aircraft.

The short runway is uphill, as well as one way only, no possibility of a go around.
Three sets of one million volt transmission lines and associated towers cover the South side of my property.
Some folks might find it a little daunting.

I prefer that pilots intending to land at DairyAir, come for a visit and walk the runways first.

I can then explain the correct approaches and procedures.

If a pilot is confident of his/her abilities, then a phone call will get me up on 123.5 Mhz. for landing instructions.

By road. Exit 129 (Annis Road) on Hwy 1.

I'm retired, this means that I can cut the grass full time now.

I hope that the image comes up when the link is placed in your browser.
Please let me know.

As for the name DairyAir....
When I first flew here, there were still dairy cows pastured on my farm.
Dairy Air is the registered business name of my farm with the BC government.

And yes, it well may be a little punny, even funny.
Then again I was born in Quebec Eh!:<)

Hope this helps.

Please tell me if I've left out something important.
Please try to be kind, as I am old and easily damaged.

I hope to see you soon.

Thank you for the further information.

Exit 129, eh? Which city? You like writing puzzles. Ah, I found the solution! The aerial view of Dairy Air, on your website, seems to give the following extra information:

49 09' 29.19" N, 121 49' 01.21" W
50802 Chilliwack Central Road
Rosedale, BC
(east of Chilliwack, at the foot of the hills)

You have grass runways. This rules out almost all flights from Pacific Flying Club, since they have a policy of forbidding almost all landings on unpaved runways.

Thank you, the image is very helpful. Now to plan a drive out to Chilliwack!
