Pacific Pilots' Group met at Delta Airpark , March 20th for another successful and progressive planning for our flying trip to Yellowknife in July 26 to Aug.09th.
Present: Joel, Heidi, Sharon and Darrell, James , Rita, Greg, Elke, Gary and Ann, Pete, Len and Kelly (hiding) and Guido.
Joel discussed the changes in the flight-leg routes, James brought the projector and donuts, Elke discussed the hotel accomodations, and everyone else contributed new ideas.
Email updates went out to all on our current list, with Joel's latest updates, and Elke's hotel accomodations detailed right to Yellowknife. Stay tuned for more information to come.
Next meeting is Thursday, April 10th, at Delta Airpark at 1900.

Joel will give us more updates on the routes (some adjustments) on revised flight-legs and new overnight airport destinations.
Also: New updates on reserved accomodations along the way, at great pricing.
Bring: Navigation Maps and/or IPads, or Pen and Paper for your notes... and a happy , excited YOU!

The Pacific Pilots Flying Group is meeting again for more information about our trip to Yellowknife :
Thursday, March 20th at 1900 at the Delta Airpark Coffee Shop/Clubhouse.
This cozy and warm facility has a full kitchen and BBQ, if we ever needed to make a yummy Dinner or have any other aviation related function.
Delta Airpark Committee has graciously and kindly made it known, that we are welcome to book our future flight planning events any time there , if we require a solid meeting place.
Additional email invite to this meeting is going out to everyone I have on my current email list.
Looking forward...much fun , light and laughter!

Pacific Pilots Group met in CYCW today...we had to drive in (no chance of flying due to SNOW!!). Thank you for Leon and Len to drive us...and Thank you, to Gary Atkins, for providing the heated Club House .

This is Joel and Melanie's Camping fly- Trip - and we , the "FAMILY" are helping ...
We had a pretty detailed talk by Joel...and Fred Glasbergen joined us to share his experience for flying into the Yukon Territory...much was learned.
After , we enjoyed lunch in the Airport Café.
Our next meeting is in about a month time: March 22nd/23rd...stay tuned for location, time...and more FUN!

Remember: 1200: Saturday , Feb 22nd , we meet at CYCW :
Wx looks good for flying in; and I will check Saturday morning again to make sure . Some may drive.
Gary has secured the Chilliwack Flying Cub venue for us to do our visiting and planning (not the Hangar)...with a beautiful patio, and enough space to accommodate 20 people!
Also, if volunteers are available, the Flying Club will cook lunch for us, for a small fee ($5.00).
If not, we still have our LUNCH Booking for 10 people in the Café at 1300.
Welcome new guest: Guido.
Looking forward to seeing you all and to much fun...and photo ops...bring SMILING faces!

Here is a new thought that just came in: CHASE Car/Van/4x4 needed to come along our Yellowknife Trip via road (July 26-Aug.09, 2014)...to carry fun stuff like tools, spare aeroplane tyres, fuel, and miscellaneous stuffs...collect your thoughts and email us ! :)

Yellowknife group meeting
The first "Flight to Yellowknife" meeting took place on Saturday at the Big Ridge Brewpub. Our next meeting is in 3 weeks' time: Saturday: February 22nd at
12h00 in Chilliwack. We meet for Lunch and then gather in Gary Atkin's
Hangar for Planning and Map layout. Everyone with an interest in the flight should be there. See you there guys.
