Xmas lunch 2013

It's that time again Boys and girls. We are planning the King George flying group Christmas Lunch. Date is Sunday December 15th  at the Big Ridge Pub on 152nd. Noon until 2 pm or whenever you want to leave. As always, Dutch Treat and everyone is welcome. The more the merrier. The Pub management has promised us seating for 40 and better positioning than last year so I would appreciate some feedback on attendance. I will be sending reminders in the next couple of weeks.

Taking advantage of a break in the weather.

Some of the guys were out this weekend after the fog finally lifted. Chilliwack was of course packed. Let's hope for more nice weather before the end of the season.

There was a good turnout for the Squamish Fly-in this weekend. Several of the king George group flew in. The weather was great.

The Comox Air Show was well attended by a number of pilots from King George. The weather looked much worse than it was , so the flight up to Comox was uneventful.

There were some war birds as well as GA aircraft on display. It was definitely worth the trip.
This was the first Air Show at Comox  in 8 years so it was very well attended.

Comox  Airshow was very well attended by a number of King George pilots.

The Airshow could almost rival the Abbottsford  air show for attendance. It was the fist airshow
in 8 years at Comox.

Texada

Good turn out at the Texada fly-in. Quite a few of our group there. Weather was great and the pancakes were too. A couple of the group camped over and enjoyed swimming on the beach.

Hesquiat Bay beach.  Approximately 25 miles north of Vargas island. Nice place but the beach has some good sized sand waves . The approach is best from the south end but don't run too far as you enter the sand waves and some of them are quite big.
