Swinging the compass
Great weather last weekend so I decided to finally take the time to swing my compass at Chilliwack. I was surprised that there were so few airplanes around. Let's get some group flying going as we used to do.

There is a meeting bu Nav Canada to discuss local air space held in Surrey on May 30th. We should get a group together for this. If any of you are interested in attending, please let me know so we can reply with a group number. The link below will supply the details.

Qualicum and Courtney
As Jim will mention on the next post , your right ,
it was a perfect day Saturday excellent performance I just had to duck a few clouds on the way to Qualicum and go over some on the way back It took only 1.4 hours to get back with a little tail wind and almost in a strait line with Vancouver flight following.
Down town and Stanley Park from 5500 ft.
Sunny weekend at last
Great flying at the weekend. Cold but lots of performance. Our group split into two groups, one went to Qualicum for lunch, finding the coffee shop closed, they continued on to Courtney. The second group lunched at Chilliwack which was full of airplanes as happens on the first sunny day for a while. Great flying with smooth air.
